Charting New Paths in Pharmacy Careers
On May 4th, 2025, the MedJob initiative by ANSAL IPS proudly participated in a career orientation event hosted by the College of Pharmacy at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) — a university long recognized for academic distinction, innovation, and cross-disciplinary excellence.
Since its establishment in 1972, AASTMT has evolved into a beacon of modern education in the Arab region, with its Alexandria campus playing a pivotal role in shaping future professionals. The College of Pharmacy, one of the Academy’s rising stars, is dedicated to preparing highly qualified graduates who are equipped to thrive not only in Egypt’s healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors but also across international settings. The college blends core pharmaceutical training with insights from business, quality management, logistics, and innovation — creating pharmacists who are both scientifically grounded and globally competitive.
Despite being a half-day event, the MedJob session at AASTMT stood out for its remarkable student engagement. The event featured:
• A motivational opening presentation by Dr. Ahmed Youssef (CEO & Founder of ANSAL IPS), who shared the Bridge Story — an inspiring metaphor outlining the phases of transition from local pharmacy studies to licensed practice in Germany.
• A comprehensive overview of the MedJob Bridge, guiding students through every phase: from German language preparation, document assistance, and visa support to supervised employment and final licensing.
• Interactive Q&A sessions with students eager to explore new career horizons in Germany’s healthcare sector.
Students responded with enthusiasm, insightful questions, and a clear desire to pursue the structured opportunities presented by MedJob. The event reinforced how well-aligned AASTMT’s vision — “to impact society through innovation and sustainable development” — is with MedJob’s mission of empowering pharmacists to become globally mobile professionals.
